Check out our very cool guide- “E-Books- New Testament Introduction and Commentary”

This spring semester, our Information Services Librarian, Mark Puterbaugh compiled a fabulous LibGuide on freely available New Testament introduction & commentary ebooks.

You’re probably thinking… “What’s a ‘LibGuide’?!”

LibGuides is a product the library subscribes to that allows EU librarians the ability to compile resources on a particular topic and display them in an easy to use website (also available as a mobile site for you tablet & smartphone users) . To date, we’ve put together 113 guides to help our Eastern community navigate through the library’s many resources. Mark’s new guide is the first of its kind in our LibGuide collection since it’s dedicated to identifying freely accessible ebooks.  Generally, our guides contain an array of resources from databases to websites to journals and even image resources.

The guide is organized into 13 topics and contains 16 subtopics.
Topics- Life of Jesus, Introduction, Multi-Volume Sets, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Pauline Epistles, General Epistles, The Revelation, New Testament Greek, and General Reference Books.

What I really like about this guide is that Mark included these cool widgets from the Internet Archive that lets you view the ebook while you’ll still viewing the guide.

Many of the ebooks come from GoogleBooks, Internet Archive, and Project Gutenberg. So, I recommend taking a look at it! Available at http://libguides.eastern.edu/NTEB.
